Privacy Policy

Feltly has no accounts. You never create a username or password, and we cannot look up “your data” — there is no identity attached to it.

Your journal is stored on your phone and is never uploaded: the text of your entries, photos you attach, voice notes you record, your name (if you entered one) and your app settings.

Deleting the app deletes all of it. We keep no copy and cannot recover it.

Journal text — only when you tap “Find with AI”. The text of that one entry is sent to our server, which forwards it to Anthropic’s Claude API to detect which emotions it contains. The text is used to produce that answer and is not stored on our server. If you never tap the AI button, your text never leaves your phone.

Emotions and a short summary — only when a day’s picture is generated. Sent to our server and forwarded to OpenAI’s image API. The picture that comes back is stored on our server so the app can show it. These pictures are private: they are kept in non-public storage and can only be retrieved by the device that created them.

Purchase receipts — only when you subscribe or restore purchases. Apple’s signed receipt is sent to our server so it can confirm your subscription is genuine and still active. We receive no card number, billing address, or Apple ID; payment is handled entirely by Apple.

Because there are no accounts, the app creates a random identifier the first time it runs, so the server can tell that repeated requests come from the same phone. This is not an advertising identifier and not a hardware identifier. It is random, used only for the purposes above, and is destroyed when you delete the app.

Free users can choose to watch a short rewarded video to unlock one extra photo or voice note. These ads are served by Google AdMob.

We request non-personalised ads only. That means AdMob does not use your activity to target ads at you and does not track you across other apps. To show an ad and to prevent fraud, AdMob receives standard device information (such as device type, coarse region, and a device identifier). We do not send AdMob anything from your journal.

You never have to watch an ad. Ads appear only when you tap the “watch an ad” button yourself; Premium removes them entirely.

No tracking across other apps or websites, and no advertising identifier used for targeting. No selling or sharing of your data with anyone, for any purpose. No analytics on what you write, photograph, or feel. No profile about you; the identifier above is not linked to your identity.

Our servers keep ordinary technical logs (request times, error codes) to keep the service running. These contain no journal content.

Microsoft Azure (Netherlands) hosts our server and stores generated pictures. Anthropic receives the text of one entry, only when you tap “Find with AI”. OpenAI receives emotion words and a short summary, only when a picture is generated. Google AdMob receives standard device information, only when you choose to watch a rewarded ad. Apple handles payment processing when you subscribe.

Generated pictures are kept until you delete the app or ask us to remove them. Daily usage counters expire automatically after 7 days. Subscription records are kept as long as Apple reports the subscription, because we need them to restore your access on a new phone.

Feltly is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Use the app without the AI features: your text then never leaves the phone. Delete everything from the app’s settings, or delete the app. Ask us to delete server-side data (pictures and subscription records) by writing to info@loopyazilim.net.
