Path Tracker

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Loop Software collects, uses, stores and shares information when you use the Path Tracker mobile application.

Last updated: 25 August 2026

Who we are

Path Tracker is operated by Loop Software (Loop Yazılım). For privacy questions, contact us at info@loopyazilim.net. Our main office is in Bilişim Vadisi, Kocaeli, Türkiye.

Path Tracker is a personal life archive: you record the books, films and series, courses, hobbies and games you finish, set yearly goals and look back on your year.

Using the app without an account

Path Tracker works fully without an account, and this is the default. When you are not signed in, everything you add stays on your device only. We do not receive it, and it is not sent to any server of ours.

Signing in is optional. No feature of the app is locked behind it.

Information we collect

If you choose to sign in with Apple, we receive the user identifier Apple generates specifically for this app. We use it only to tell your archive apart from other people’s.

We do not request your name or your email address. Apple’s sign-in screen can offer to share them, but the app does not ask for those scopes, so they never reach us.

Once signed in, your archive is copied to our servers so it can be backed up and opened on your other devices: entry titles, categories, status, your star ratings, your personal notes, category-specific fields (such as author, page count or director), the cover image address when one was found, and your yearly goals.

We do not collect location, contacts, photos, health data, advertising identifiers, or analytics about how you use the app.

How we use information

We use your information only to run the app: to keep your archive backed up, to sync it between your devices, and to keep your data separate from other users’.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your archive for advertising, profiling or analytics, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Storage and security

Data on your device is stored by the app in the operating system’s own app storage, inside your device’s sandbox.

If you are signed in, your archive is stored on Microsoft Azure in the West Europe region, as a separate record belonging to your account alone. All connections between the app and our servers use HTTPS.

Our servers reach the database without any shared password or connection string: access is granted only to the service’s own managed identity and is restricted at the network level.

We keep your synced archive for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, it is removed.

Sharing with third parties

Apple — if you use Sign in with Apple. Apple’s own privacy policy applies to that sign-in.

Microsoft Azure — our hosting and database provider, acting on our instructions as a processor.

Google Books, Open Library and TVmaze — when you look a title up by name or barcode, only the search text you typed or scanned is sent to these free services. No account identifier is attached, and we do not store these queries. Their own privacy policies apply.

We do not share your archive with anyone else, and we never sell it.

Your choices and rights

Use it without an account: simply do not sign in, and nothing leaves your device.

Delete the data on your device: Profile → “Reset all data” removes every entry and goal. Deleting the app removes it as well.

Delete your account and everything in the cloud: Profile → “Delete account and data” permanently deletes both your device data and everything stored for your account on our servers. This cannot be undone.

Sign out without deleting: signing out leaves your entries on your device.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, export or restrict the processing of your data. Your archive is already fully visible to you inside the app; for anything else, write to us at the address below.

Children

Path Tracker is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do.
